To wrap up the sports year, we held our 2nd Kids Karate Day 2026 on June 14.
Eleven enthusiastic children participated under the guidance of Master Marietta (4th Dan) and with the support of Sardah (orange belt) and Mikail (yellow belt). After reviewing some basic techniques, the children competed in forms and sparring. In each of the three categories, divided by belt rank, they also vied for the day’s top honors.

Congratulations to the day’s winners:

• 1st place Olivia
• 2nd place Eelis
• 3rd place Julius and Lars (tied on points)

All the children can be very proud of their progress in karate techniques. Of course, plenty of new stripes were also awarded, which now visually reflect this progress:

• 1 yellow stripe
• 8 orange stripes
• 2 brown stripes

We’re already looking forward to the next sports year and the next sparring day!

On January 18, the Karate Section held its first sparring competition of 2026.

Thirteen enthusiastic children participated under the guidance of Master Marietta (4th Dan) and Sardah (orange belt). After reviewing some basic techniques, the competition continued with kata and sparring. Competition took place in three categories based on belt rank, with the overall winner of the day also being determined.

We congratulate the day’s winner: Eelis.

Second place was shared by Rosalie, Olivia, and Julius, who tied on points.

All the children can be very proud of their progress in karate techniques. Of course, plenty of new stripes were also awarded, which now visually reflect this progress:

• 5 yellow stripes
• 5 orange stripes
• 2 blue stripes
• 2 brown stripes
