Successful participation at the Summercamp 2023 in Aachen

In the first week of August, the annual Emeskai Karate Summer Camp took place, this year in beautiful Aachen, Germany. This year, for the first time, the Vienna Club was represented by four participants. For one week, karatekas of all levels came together to train and compete in exciting competitions. The atmosphere was characterized by enthusiasm, team spirit, and sporting ambition.

The event offered a rich variety of training opportunities, starting from the early morning sport with running and maneuvering exercises, to the main training with technique training and relaxing regeneration exercises.

The highlight of the week was undoubtedly the tournament, where the karatekas had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills.

Also our Viennese competitors were able to place themselves successfully:

  • 1st place Forma Contraset: Master Marietta
  • 1st place Forma Prima: Mo
  • 3rd place Forma Prima: Iman
  • 1st place Sports bout Women All Category: Master Marietta
  • 1st place Sparring Men Yellow: Alex
  • 2nd place Sparring Men Yellow: Mo

Congratulations to Alex, Iman and Mo for receiving the 1st orange belt.

Easterseminar 2023

This year again, the Berlin club had the honor to host the international Easter seminar for advanced students (green belt and above). About 30 karateka from Germany and the Czech Republic took part under the guidance of Mr. Issa Koité (V. Dan). The main focus of the demanding training was the optimization and economization of the karate movement sequences as well as the deepening of the fighting skills with a special focus on sweeping, clinching, and throwing; in addition to the training program, yoga exercises were also practiced and application tips for special fighting situations were demonstrated. Finally, our Easter tournament took place, where we could again see great fights and form demonstrations.

On Friday, March 3, our new USI beginners’ course starts. It takes place from 4:30 – 6 PM at Grimmgasse 12-18, 1150 Wien, hall 3. The registration for the USI sports course can be done online. Come and join us and learn karate!
