On Sunday 18 February we concluded our winter training with a successful tournament.

Congratulations to Jörg and Max who both received their 2nd yellow belt.
On Saturday, 17.02.2018, 6 of our fighters took part in the annual Berlin Open. With over 1000 participants, our Emeskai Karateka were able to compete with fighters from 29 nations.
In the first week of August, our annual summer camp took place in Mainz and, in addition, the Germany Cup took place afterwards.
At the tournament on 2 August, we already achieved 2 x 1st places, 3 x 2nd places and 1 x 3rd place.
Then we said goodbye to Lukas and Dennis, both passed their 2nd yellow belt!
After two more days of training, the Germany Cup was on the agenda. There we took the following placements:

Congratulations to Kai for the 2nd orange belt and to Frederik for the 1st blue belt.
Our 5 newcomers passed their 2nd white belt today at their entrance training!
3 of them came to our training group from Kinderkarate at the beginning of the year, this means that in addition to their 2nd white belt they also passed their black stripe from Kinderkarate today and have thus completed their Kinderkarate career.

Last Whitsun weekend, our annual coaches’ seminar took place in Darmstadt. Our master Hans, Melanie, Annalena and Petra took part to expand their trainer knowledge with practical exercises and various workshops.
For a special achievement Petra received her 2nd green belt!

In the first week of August, our annual summer camp took place in Würzburg. Two of our beginners, Kai and Timo, took part for the first time this year and despite the early morning sport and the great effort during the training sessions, the motivation for the tournament on Wednesday 03.08.16 was very high.
And the effort was worth it for both of them! In addition to the experiences, of the last few days, the two were also able to achieve placings at the tournament:

This performance was rewarded for both of them with the next belt! Congratulations to Timo for the 2nd yellow belt and to Kai for the 1st orange belt!
Next year we will go to the summer camp again to deepen the newly made friendships, the techniques and experiences.
This Whitsun weekend, our coaches again went to the annual coaches’ seminar in Munich for further training.
Together with coaches from all clubs in Germany, they were able to exchange experiences and knowledge, but also expand their knowledge in the various seminars.
With this knowledge, they are now highly motivated for training!
The Alsdorf Karate Club was once again able to achieve a number of placings at the Spring Training tournament on Sunday 24.04.16.

On the weekend of 01-02 April 2016, all Emeskai clubs were invited to Berlin for a training weekend.
All clubs from Germany and even some of our Slovenian friends came for the competition training.
Frederik (1st row, 2nd from right), Jana (2nd row, 3rd from left) and Annalena (1st row, 3rd from left) represented the Alsdorf club and after these exhausting but instructive training sessions, it’s back to the weekly training with new experiences and exercises.
