30th International Odenwald-Cup

On Saturday November 26, 2022, the 30th International Odenwald Cup took place in Mörlenbach in Hesse. Almost 400 participants from 79 clubs and 6 different nations have registered for the anniversary tournament to compete in different disciplines. From our clubs Aachen, Alsdorf & Darmstadt altogether 6 participants competed with Karatekas of other styles in different competitions.

The following placements were achieved:

  • 1st place: Jana Robert (Category: Women 6th – 4th Kyu)
  • 1st place: Thomas Ullrich (Category: Ü30)
  • 2nd place: Thomas Ullrich (Category: Team fights men)
  • 3rd place: Lukas Kessler (Category: Men 6th – 4th Kyu)

Adria Seminar 2022

After the cancellations in the past two years due to the pandemic, the international Adria Seminar finally took place again on the beautiful Croatian island of Losinj in the last week of September / first week of October 2022. Emeskaier from green belt onwards participated in the seminar. The sporting program included three training sessions daily: In the morning, the “Concoord” training (conditioning and coordination training, led by Mr. Issa Koité), at lunchtime, a self-defense information training (led by Mr. Rudolf Jakhel) and in the afternoon, a variation combat training (led by Mr. Marcus Schiffers). Through the varied training program, the participants had the opportunity to learn and deepen their skills (technique, endurance, motor skills as well as the theoretical basics of martial arts). Last but not least, the stone breaking training was held once.

Highlights of this year’s event were the promotion ceremony with the awarding of the new as well as higher black belts and the joint celebration of the 80th birthday of Mr. Rudolf Jakhel. After the seminar, our Adria tournament took place.

Summer camp 2022 in Bonn

We spent a wonderful week of karate at this year’s summer camp in Bonn. We trained together with karatekas from all over Germany and also demonstrated our skills at a final tournament.

At the tournament we were able to achieve the following placements:

– 2nd place Forma yellow belts: Niklas
– 1st place Forma brown belts: Frederik
– 1st place Fighting Women All-Category: Annalena

Congratulations to Niklas and Alex who received their 2nd yellow belt!

BEGINNERS COURSES 2022

We are offering new beginner courses on a quarterly basis in 2022. Each first practice of a new quarter, those interested can join us in training:

  • Tuesday, January 11 from 18:30 to 20:00 (beginner group full).
  • Tuesday, April 05 from 18:30 to 20:00 (beginners group full)
  • Tuesday, 16 August from 18:30 to 20:00
