Adriaseminar 2024

From September 21 to 28, Mo, Iman and Master Marietta were at the Emeskai Adria Seminar in Veli Losinj, Croatia. This seminar is a special seminar for Emeskaians from green belt upwards. The sports program included three training sessions a day: The morning session was about conditioning and coordination training for karate (led by Master Issa Koité, V. Dan). At lunchtime there was self-defense information training (led by Master Rudolf Jakhel, X. Dan) and in the afternoon, there was variation and competition training (led by Master Marcus Schiffers, V. Dan and Master Issa). In addition, Master Fehmi Mahalla, VII. Dan, offered special training for WKF competitions in the afternoon.

The varied training program gave the participants the opportunity to learn and deepen a wide range of skills (technique, endurance, motor skills and the theoretical basics of martial arts).

The highlight of this year’s event was the promotion ceremony with the awarding of the new and higher black belts. The seminar was followed by the big Adria tournament, in which Iman and Mo took part in the men’s green Sports Fighting category. Despite two victories, Iman was eliminated in the preliminary round, Mo was in the final after 4 preliminary round fights, in which he was only narrowly defeated and ended up in 2nd place.
